In his Twitter bio, Gómez Gaviria claims to be a professor associated with the World Economic Forum, the World Bank, and the University of Chicago, among other institutions. He has over 50k followers. You can see here that the Seasteading Institute has had this text on their website since 2014, ie before Gómez Gaviria stole it in 2015. He has blocked me on Twitter but I have archived his quote in case he deletes it. When I gave him a chance to explain the situation, he chose not to. Instead of blocking me and ignoring the issue, the appropriate response would have been to acknowledge the misquote and credit the authors. He could have done this easily by adding another tweet below his first one.
