I’ve ended the quote in a period since Grossman continues the quoting sentence, which is valid. Her full quoting sentence reads: “‘It's the spirit that you want to loot,’ Cherryl Taggart said to her husband James, in Atlas Shrugged.” Turning the curly apostrophe into a straight one isn’t a big deal, but the beginning “It's” should be ‘[I]t's’ so that readers know it’s not the beginning of the sentence.
